After graduating from the Faculty of Business and Commerce at Keio University and completing Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, President Naito joined Eisai. He served as a Director, Vice President of Discovery & Development Research, Managing Director of the Research and Development Division, Managing Director, Executive Vice President, and Representative Director and Deputy President of the Company before becoming President and CEO in 1988, a post which he has held until the present.
